Senior Neighbors

Today is Martin Luther King Jr. holiday. The MLK Day of Service encourages all Americans to improve our communities through volunteer service. It helps to empower individuals, strengthen communities, bridge barriers, address social problems, and move us closer to Dr. King’s vision of a Beloved Community.

Senior Neighbors’ #MLKDay of Service is helping to meet the need of local child-serving organizations through kicking off the MI Mask Project- Keeping Children Safe and supporting volunteers sewing children’s masks and creating thank you cards for the dedicated staff investing in our next generation! #AmericorpsSeniors

Dr. King said, “Life’s most persistent and urgent question is, ‘What are you doing for others?” Answer his call by volunteering on #MLKDay of Service.

In the words of Dr. King, “Everybody can be great because everybody can serve.” #MLKDayOn
