Senior Neighbors is proud to serve Kent County residents aged 60 and older. Beyond those requirements, please use this page to review specific costs and eligibility details.
Program Breakdowns:
The costs outlined are suggested contributions. No individual will be denied service if unable to contribute. All of these programs (with the exception of Americorps) are available to those 60+ living in Kent County.
Senior Center Attendance
Senior Neighbors centers are free to attend! Enjoy lunch for a suggested donation of $3.50 per meal for seniors. Bringing a guest under 60? Their suggested donation is $5.00
Transportation Services
RideLink offers Kent County adults, age 60+, a safe and affordable way to get around without having to drive. The requester fee per one-way trip is $3.00. You must register 5 days in advance for your ride to be scheduled.
Wellness Class Participation
We are proud to offer a variety of Engaging Wellness classes. There is a suggested donation of $3.00 per class. Class donations can also be covered under SilverSneakers, PeerFit, OnePass, or RenewActive.
AmeriCorps Volunteering
Though the vast majority of our programming has an age requirement of 60 or older, the requirement to be an AmeriCorps volunteer is to be over 55 years of age.
Home Repair for Veterans
Home Repair for Veterans program covers a wide range of projects that improve the livability of the home. Those eligible must be Be at least 60 years old, own a home/have a residence in Kent County, and Be a veteran who has been honorably discharged from service, or the spouse of such a veteran
