In this Foster Grandparents program, you can be a role model and mentor for at-risk youth. By spending quality time with children and teens each week, you can reinforce family values, improve their academic skills, help them make responsible life choices and train them to handle conflict and adversity in healthy, constructive ways.

Volunteer Requirements

  • Be at least 55 years old
  • Volunteer at least 5-40 hours/week (during the school year)
  • Meet the income limitations
  • Pass a criminal background check
  • Attend training before classroom placement
